A beautiful snowy walk by the river with a Narnia-like sense of spring on its way as patches of snow melt and the river flows. Happy New Year everyone. Looking forward to spring days, better times and getting back in the water.

The forecast for tomorrow's Winter Solstice doesn't look good, so we got up early this morning to see the sunrise! It was beautiful.

We've found a great new place to walk not far from home with two beautiful lakes and teeming with wildlife. We've enjoyed it in rain, sunshine and even fog over the last few days.

We finally got our very first duck egg. It was such an exciting find in the half-light of a cold and wet December morning!

Our lessons are back on! It's good to be back in the nice warm water of The Abbey Hotel pool and to see all our lovely swimmers again. Many people expect to have forgotten what to do after a break so I enjoy the confidence they gain from realising that their swimming skills have become second nature.
