This is what can happen when you don't have year round pool service. Some try to cancel during the winter months because they aren't using their pool. If cleaning, and chemicals aren't maintained in the off months, algae can take up residence in your pool. These were the clients filters. Since destroyed, they had to buy 4 new ones. This same sludge is inches deep on bottom of their pool. Remedy: Drain, shovel out algae, power wash, acid wash, refill, and chemicals! Almost $1000 later.... Before & After pics coming soon!
