Early summer 2020 I was inspired to design a swimsuit for my 2 year old daughter. . The world was a scary place and I felt like there was not a more appropriate time to want to keep our children safe. . As a mom of two boys for 6 years I didn’t give girls bathing suits much though, other than they are pretty revealing and even more so when wet. I would bear witness to this on more than one occasion during my sons swimming lessons.... . I was lucky though...I had boys. . Fast forward 3 years and there I was, trying to find something, anything that offered toddler girls more coverage on the bottom than just basic panties. I could find nothing. . So I did some research, bought some Lycra, ruined some Lycra broke MANY needles on my sewing machine and many months later I finished my first suit. . So now we are in the preproduction phase, as I wait for my manufacturer to produce a prototype for my approval. . It’s exciting and scary. I doubt myself every single day and I cheer myself every single day. I do not know how this little business venture of mine will do and I’m ok with that. I’m doing something I feel is right and something that I think parents will find value in. . The best way to predict the future is to create it. See more
