Instructors Quarantine Day 12 This is Ms. Sierra C.! She used to teach Monday-Thursday and Sundays at our Renton pool. Some of Ms. Sierra’s favorite things to do while in quarantine is Make masks and tik tok. Ms. Sierra teaches because I love teaching water safety. Everyday I get to see those beautiful faces and I know they will be safe this summer. Ms. Sierra’s favorite part of class is Jumping and you time! Dear Kinder Swimmer family - Just a quick check in, we appreciate your patience and dedication to our company through all of this! Due to the ever changing circumstances surrounding covid-19 concerns and mandates, our updates may come sporadically. Please know we are keeping you all in our mind as we continue to plan how and when to re-open our programs that are in line with state mandated distancing protocols, and our own level of duty to do our parts in flattening the curv...e of this global pandemic. At this point, it seems our closure will last through the end of April. As a reminder, no accounts are charged for the duration of our closure, and we will attend to everyone’s credit once we can bring staff back into to the office! Instructors Quarantine Day 4 This is Ms. Laura! She teaches at our Renton pool every Monday & Wednesday daytime classes. As well as every Tuesday in the office. Some of Ms. Laura‘s favorite things to do while in quarantine is Yoga, hike, make fresh sourdough bread, stay connected to those I love and miss through FaceTime. Ms. Laura teaches because I teach swimming because I know what an essential life skill it is. When I pair my education and passion for early child...hood development, strong dedication to physical and emotional safety in learning environments, and this company’s robust and unique approach to swim education, it creates a daily opportunity to find fulfillment, joy, and purpose in a way I’ve never experienced before. I value the trust that my students and families have in me, and I’m very invested in each of their individuals journeys and experiences. Ms. Laura’s favorite part of class is The moments of celebration when one of my students, myself, and their family or caregiver all witness them having a breakthrough on something, and the happy cheering that follows. Dear Kinder Swimmer family - We wanted to touch base today following Governor Inslee’s address and announcement of mandated further social distancing requirements. At this time, and for at least two weeks, our company will not be permitted to re-operate our programs. While we understand how crucial our company is to the public and for our community learning how to swim, we understand that we don’t fall into the category of acute necessity during this temporary shut down. We ...support the social distancing mandates in our willingness to comply, and positivity that we WILL be back soon, doing what we love and supporting your families in their swim education. In the meantime, please keep in touch by engaging with us on our social media platforms, Miss Sierra is sharing about our staff during this time to everyone on our Instagram and Facebook pages, and our teachers would value the opportunity to engage with their students on those posts! Accounts will remain un-charged until we can confidently operate our programs again. As our small company weathers this storm ourselves, office staff will be staying home until we can re-open, so communication will be limited and delayed. We deeply miss you all, you’re what makes this work so worthwhile to us. Instructors Quarantine Day 8 This is Ms. Star! I’ve been teaching on and off for the past five years at Kinder Swimmer. Some of Ms. Star’s favorite things to do while in quarantine During this quarantine I’ve been chillin with my roommate Zoey, reading, yoga, and the occasional dance party when things get boring:))) Ms. Star teaches because I love interacting with all the kids and seeing the smile on their face when all their hard work finally payed off. Ms.... Star’s favorite part of class is I think my favorite part of class would probably have to be the jumps because, although for some kids it’s harder than others, I love seeing what crazy things the kids will do mid jump. Have fun spending some quality time with whoever you’re with this quarantine. stay safe and focus on the positive impact this quarantine might have on our environment. Some of Ms. Kat’s favorite things to do while in quarantine is Exercise indoors. Ms. Kat teaches because I love teaching because sharing my knowledge with others is very rewarding. Instructors Quarantine Day 5 This is Ms. Ryan! She teaches at our Spanaway pool every Tuesday & Wednesday afternoons. Some of Ms. Ryan‘s favorite things to do while in quarantine is taking walks with my baby and hula hoop. Ms. Ryan teaches because I love to swim and love to teach little ones how to be safe and happy in the water. Ms. Ryan’s favorite part of class is to see kids learn and be proud of themselves for learning as well as be excited to learn more and ...be in the water. A fact that Ms. Ryan thought our merfamilies would find interesting is I’ve been a competitive swimmer since I was five and have so much fun being in the water. Instructors Quarantine Day 7. This is Ms. Leona! We have been in business for over 22 years and absolutely love doing what we do! Seeing kids learn how to swim is so rewarding! And being in business for this long we are starting to see the kids we taught as babies graduating and some even teach for us, this is amazing! Knowing that we have taught these kids a lifesaving skill makes me feel like I have a meaning in this life. Something interesting about me is before Kinder Swimmer I was a dental assistant and then had a company called Special Days Balloons where I would decorate for weddings and corporate events birthdays and do deliveries. But this job at Kinder Swimmer is my perfect place in life! When I stopped the balloons I found the most amazing Business partner. Then Carrie and I created Kinder Swimmer!

Instructors Quarantine Day 6 This is Ms. Sydney! She teaches at our Renton pool every Sunday. Some of Ms. Sydney’s favorite things to do while in quarantine is spend time with my horse Cash and my dog Bailey. Ms. Sydney teaches because I learned to swim from Kinder Swimmer as a kid and I believe everyone should learn to swim with confidence. Ms. Sydney’s favorite part of class is when kids jump in because I can see them build up their courage each class. Instructors Quarantine Day 13 This is Ms. Carrie! She has also been in business for over 22 years and absolutely loves doing what we do! Leona and I have a very close relationship.. We’ve been doing this together since 1997! When we first started Kinder Swimmer I loved coming home to check the small groups of kiddos we had on our roster. Kinder Swimmer has become my life now, it’s super powerful for me. Something interesting about me is before Kinder Swimmer I used to work construction and banking mortgages. But this job at Kinder Swimmer is my life! My first day I remember telling myself I’m going to be doing this for a long time.

Instructors Quarantine Day 9 This is Ms. Brittany! She teaches at our Renton pool & her days change every summer! Some of Ms. Brittany’s favorite things to do while in quarantine is My favorite part of each day while quarantined is to getting outdoors for a little bit each day, whether it being a run around the neighborhood or a hike. I love watching movies too!!! Ms. Brittany teaches because When I come back home every summer to teach again, seeing how much our littl...e students have not only grown into strong swimmers, but individuals as well; that is the reason why I continue to teach! Ms. Brittany’s favorite part of class is jumps!! This can be the most challenging part for a lot of students, but seeing them gain courage over time to take that leap is so accomplishing as a teacher. A fact that Ms. Brittany thought our merfamilies would find interesting is A cool fact is I attend school at University of Hawaii and major in Kinesiology (exercise science)! Instructors Quarantine Day 10 This is Ms. Maggie! She teaches at our Renton pool every Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Some of Ms. Maggie’s favorite things to do During this quarantine, my favorite thing to do is facetime my friends/family and paint! Ms. Maggie teaches because I love seeing the progress in my swim kids and love connecting with all these different families and people! Ms. Maggie’s favorite part of class is the very beginning, right when my swim k...ids hop in the pool. I love seeing how excited they are to swim with their friends and how they are so eager to show their parents and me their improvements. A fact that Ms. Maggie thought our merfamilies would find interesting is I’m a faster swimmer than Miss Summer, because I won against her in a swimming race.
