As a mom to twins myself ISR was the best thing we did for our kids when they were younger! The peace of mind ISR brought knowing our kids had these life saving skills is something you cannot put a price tag on. So when this twin momma reached out to me inquiring about lessons I could relate immediately to how busy her life is with twins and the commitment it would take to get her girls skilled but knew she needed to do it. So here they are...6 weeks of lessons, 10 minutes a day and driving 30 minutes each way. All for this...they CAN swim and CAN save their own life! Let this sink in: A 4 month old in a Bumbo seat is not sitting up. If you placed him on the floor in the same position, he would fall over. A 9 month old in ...a walker is not walking. If you took away the walker, the baby would topple over. A 2 year old in a puddle jumper is NOT SWIMMING. If you took the puddle jumper off of that child, the child would drown. All 3 devices only mimic the actual skill itself that they wouldn't otherwise be able to do without it. The child is relying on the device for support. The muscles recruited (or not recruited) are different from those that would be needed to complete the task independently. In the case of the puddle jumper, imagine how dangerous this becomes if a child makes his way to the water without the device. This is TERRIBLE & is NOT ISR This method of instruction violates many of our safety protocols. We absolutely do not find it a safe, acceptable method of teaching survival swimming! Thank you ISR Wilmington
