[ repost @fayninon ] Like any new ventures, projects, goals . . Things take time , it is not always a straight line like we’d hope for. Close friends of mine knows how much the beginning stages of @t.sea.i were challenging for me. I started the brand wanting to design wearable Art, Underwater clothing (long sleeve rashguards , leggings , swimsuits ) That are environmentally friendly & that protect you from the sun, that can also be worn for exercise as well as in the sea .... I’ve worked so hard on my designs, sourcing the best recycled materials possible, creating logo, tags, finding a team that would really understand my vision and be able to have my ideas turn to life. . Though after so much effort this exciting project turned into a nightmare after my designs plus all the money I put into got stolen . . I was devastated , I fought the best I could , I had times where I wanted to give up and simply redirect all my energy on my Art. This unfortunate experience pushed me way behind with production . . I had to restart all over . . Though I didn’t give up and I am so glad I continued persevering, it is not necessarily fully how I imagined it but I trust it is exactly how it was all meant to become. I love to look back and see all that’s been accomplished through the brand, with the help of all of you of course. I love the way it evolved and still it is still far from where I envision it to grow. I am sharing all of this because today I am excited to share with you guys the new swimsuit design that’s available on the website. Finally we have a 2 piece available, this one was designed after one of my Artwork & I’d love to know what you guys think ? ? Meet Joey aka Fatty aka Nestley the little hawksbill Turtle He was found as a tiny baby struggling cut in the waves close to shore in Gracebay by a lovely couple who contacted @amyavenant . He was brought in Grand-Turk to @katharinehart who’s the Turtle specialist she’s been taking care of him for a month so he can grow into a healthy Turtle and be released in the Ocean once he’s strong enough! So @katharinehart flew to Provo yesterday & I was blessed enough to join t...hem so we can release him, conditions were not favorable for a safe release so we tried again this morning, unfortunately again conditions were not on our side .. since he lost the first stage of his life as a wild turtle , he has to be taken far out from land where there is sargassum for him to hide himself and feed , but after a far out boat ride we couldn’t find any! He is now on his way back to Grand-Turk and will be release soon from there ! I’m hoping I can join for this precious moment ! #repost from @tcreef_fund Thank you @fayninon - @t.sea.i for helping and capturing this beautiful video of our Saturday snorkel session with the Environmental Club at the Edward Gartland Youth Centre. @ecgyouthcentre Two weeks ago we did an in class reef ecology lesson, yesterday 16 kids got to see some of the fish and coral they learned about in class, swimming around the snorkel trail at Coral Gardens <3... Thank you to Roxann Wake-Forbes and Louis for inviting us to be a part of it! Thank you Teresa Tomassoni Chloe Sylvie Zimmermann Grace Mann Avril-Maud Giese and Fay Ninon for helping keep everyone entertained and safe. A HUGE thank you to Morgan May Luker and SURFside Ocean Academy for loaning us all the snorkel equipment and to Provo Sailing Academy for loaning us the life jackets.
