FAQ: Do you do those lessons where they teach babies to swim like I've seen on YouTube? Yes and no. Do we teach babies and toddlers? YES! We have students as young as 6 months, and our under-3 crowd are some of our favorites! ... Do we teach babies/toddlers to self-rescue? YES. The ultimate goal of all our lessons at these ages is learning to be able to self-rescue. We begin with water familiarization and build to a self-rescue sequence. Do we create intense lessons to achieve these skills? No. Our core philosophy is build on a Reggio-Emilio child-centered approach, and as such we believe the same skills can be built and can be retained (possibly even longer) through a fun, gentler approach.
