New Hirer We have Waves Swim School Rustington joining our list of Hirers on a Wednesday. If you would like to get your baby or toddlers swimming get in touch with the lovely Lauren and Cath while there is still availability.

NO SWIMMING THIS WEEKEND (19th June) Very sorry to report that sadly no swimming will be taking place this weekend! ... FRIDAY lessons had finished and I was just leaving when our unit lost all power. Light - plugs - heat - filtration - dosing, everything GONE! We have now managed to get power on to everything except our pool heater, the temperature currently is 30.9, but this will drop over night without the heater running and won't be comfortable to swim in the morning. I'm trying to sort it ASAP! But this will probably have a knock on effect on the weekday lessons. Sincerest apologies and sorry for disappointment and upset that this will undoubtedly cause. I will keep everyone updated as this situation progresses! Hannah x

Pool update: Pool was fixed Monday and we are back up to normal temp as of yesterday. Thanks to all our centre users for their understanding and patience. Hannah

POOL UPDATE This weekend sadly we had to cancel all of our hire for the weekend. This is not something that we do lightly and something we try to avoid at all cost. Understandably there is a lot of frustration. Saturday morning it was discovered that a fuse had blown in the plant room. (This was working friday afternoon when my lessons finished) Currently we are down a filter and have no pool heating. The replacement part to fix this was not attainable over the weekend, ...and it should be fixed by tomorrow evening. We are only a small business and we are trying our best to bounce back after all these lockdowns. This is hard at the moment as we are facing a lot of technical problems, equipment that is used to running all the time is not fairing well after being left idle for long periods of time. Of the last 16 months we have only been allowed to open for roughly 7 of those, we are trying our best to be there for our pool users. If hire/lessons are cancelled it is only ever because it is unavoidable and in the interest of safety and comfort for our centre users. Hannah

*UPDATE* - Apparently the Govenrment will only recognise petitions started through THEIR website, one has been set up (link below) please sign! So many documents have gone out to show how safe swimming pools can be especially as the pool water (as long as it’s maintained) kills the virus on immediate contact. Small swim centres like ours and all the amazing small schools that hire from us (Seashells, Turtle Tots, BabySteps, Swim Stars) are now unable to open on the 4th curr...ently even though we run small class ratios, a humongous risk assessment and we have made our facility a Covid secure and a safe environment. From today Thursday the 24th of September, there will be a QR code displayed at the pool. Please can all pool users help to support the NHS Test & Trace service by downloading the NHS COVID-19 App found in the App store on smart phone. When you arrive at the Pool simple open the App, scan the code and follow the simple steps to send your details. If you don’t have a smartphone, don’t worry you can still attend the lessons, all the swim schools keep their own registers and l...og your attendance. Remember: HANDS FACE SPACE Do not enter the venue if you have any Covid-19 Symptoms (high temperature, a new continuous cough, a change to your sense of smell or taste)

Sadly we're still closed until further noticed, but I've just received some good news The Boathouse in the Marina (a popular spot for our centre users) is opening this Thursday 11th June with a reduced takeaway menu and reduced hours.
