Hello fellow swimmers! I figured I’d start by introducing myself & @stormswimschool. My name is Kristin, I’m a USA Swimming level 2 certified swim coach and water safety instructor. I’ve been coaching and providing swim instruction for the last three years in Saint Pete & now in South Tampa. I’ve been swimming since before I could walk, having grown up in the Bahamas it was a necessity. I swam competitively as well. ... Undoubtedly I have grown as a swimmer from being a coach and now I love sharing that passion and knowledge with others. Living in Florida we are surrounded by water and swimming skills are a huge life enhancer and life saver. Storm swim school is an independently owned and operated Buisness. I do work out of the country club in Saint Petersburg and do in home visits for families with pool access. Storm swim schools mission is to make swimming fun, accessible and safe for all. This is Jack, he has absolutely zero fear of the water which gives his parents me and his parents some fears Fortunately he is in Storm swim school and they do a great job at supervising his time in the pool/ learning also. Jack is working on front floating. Reaching for safety , holding his breath and also back floating which isn’t featured here. He is doing exceptionally well for his age (1 turning 2) and we are working to help him to become a little more reserved in his d...esire to jump freely from the steps in the event that someone isn’t there or paying close attention. This can be achieved through many methods but rewarding time on the steps. This guy did an amazing thing today After a month of lessons with Kristin in Storm swim school, Henry age 5, swam six full laps of real freestyle on his own with his older brother and the entire swim team and was ready to keep going. We believe in you Henry & can’t wait to have you on the swim team next year.

Kristin Wrinkle is a USA Swimming Certified Swim Instructor, Level 2. She has been coaching the St Petersburg Country Club swim team for three consecutive years. She is also a certified water safety instructor and works with children of all ages to teach water safety and survival skills in addition to more advanced technique work.
