Our new street sign. Things are rocking and rolling with the pool construction.

Our new pool company is doing us right and will fix this pool to where it should have been at this time.

The Deck has been painted and turned out wonderfully, the decking is a light gray and the coping is an off white. The shower area is also done. We are getting customers for swim lessons, water aerobics and lap swimming. Just a reminder, the swimming off season is a great time for lessons.

This is the thing that caused us to realize we were not getting the pool we were paying for, the deck drains. Our old contractor made a huge deal about this because he didn't put them in and started blaming everyone under the sun when it was his fault. It was a good thing we started taking a good look at his other work. Our new contractor is moving rapidly and the quality of work is awesome. He is detailing everything that was wrong with the pool and the stuff that was hidden from us, stuff the old contractor knew was wrong. We are so glad that is behind us and that our dream will finally come to fruition.

It now begins. October 1-4 we will be having an open house. If you want to see the facility, talk to Barbara or Jason or are just curious, we will welcome you to do those things. The open house hours will be ... 10am until 7pm Thursday and Friday Saturday will be from 9am to 5pm Sunday will be 1 to 5pm. During our open house hours you can bring your family and friends for some recreational swimming and enjoy our facilities to the max. We are only announcing this on Facebook so tell your friends and help us spread the word. We will be doing an advertising blitz for our grand opening. Lessons will start October 5th and to commemorate this we will be running a special of 20 percent off of all lessons until the end of 2020. We will still be moving in and working in the building but nothing will stop us from greeting you and answering any questions you may have.. There will be a water aerobics class on Saturday at 11am, so you can try it to see how effective it is. There is a limit of 10 people for the class so if you are interested in doing that class email Barbara at [email protected] If there is a lot of interest we can see about adding more classes. Remember, this will only be posted here on Facebook for all the wonderful people that stuck with us and showed us phenomenal support. We just wanted to show our thanks for that. The pool reconstruction is a little over a week ahead of schedule. We are finding more and more things wrong with it that was going to be hidden from us, we are documenting everything, it is eye popping on how bad things were done. We are starting to get ready for opening, by buying all the essentials needed to operate a business, phones, computers, furniture and a gazillion other things. It is getting exciting to see it come together.

We went to the pool to consult with our wonderful interior design ladies at 2pm. We were surprised to see the pool plastering done and the pool being filled. We are hoping it is full by Wednesday. They did a fantastic job. What a difference it is to work with a contractor that knows what they are doing. Here are some pictures.

Today is a milestone for us, we received our certificate of occupancy and that means we are clear to start setting up the business. There is a ton of work that has to happen but we will get it done. The first three pictures are of the new deck. The fourth picture is the setting off of a smoke bomb to satisfy the Fire Marshall that our duct smoke alarm works. The final picture is the crews getting the pool ready for plaster. The other great news we have is the pool will be plastered on Sunday and it will be the start of filling it up. That should be done by Wednesday, 80 thousand gallons takes a bit of time to fill up. The last picture is them getting ready for the plaster.

We are back on track now with a new pool builder and are eyeing the end of October for our opening, things are getting real now. We are very excited and can't wait to show the progress that will be made.

We had another meeting with a vendor and that means we took pictures. The pool is full and operational now. They are prepping it to paint the decking a not too dark gray. The good news is we will start giving lessons on October 1st, yes, Start Swimming will FINALLY be a reality. The lessons may be in a limited number due to the fact we will still be working inside the building getting things in order. That is still to be determined due to demand, we don't want to turn an...yone away. There also may be a water aerobics class or two started, depending on the interest.
