The reaction is from more then just pee in the water. Chlorine reacts with all organic nitrates in the water. Sweat and pee is just some. It turns in to trichloromines that is the byproduct of free chlorine oxidizing and sanitizing. Most CPOs will shock a pool when levels of combined chlorine reaches .5ppm above free chlorine or the odor is noted. You can contact Doc's Pool Care for any swimming pool questions or needs.

Another deck rehab in the books.
