Meet Kristina Murray, one of our very experienced instructors. Kristina was both a national swimmer and record holder for The Bahamas. She was captain of both her York University Varsity swim team and Bahamas National Swim Teams. Kristina was a Carifta Team Captain that hauled in several medals for The Bahamas over a 7 year span and gained vast experience while attending famous Don Gambril Swim Camps at University of Alabama in the summers. Kristina also competed at the regio...nal CISC and CCCAN levels where she obtained medals several times for The Bahamas playing a pivotal role on relays. Kristina was a Dolphin Swim Club member and camp counselor assisting the legendary Betty Cole with younger children and swimmers. She also was an original Swift Swimming team member and Team Co-Captain that came extremely close to being The Bahamas' very first female Olympic Swimmer in her prime 100 breastroke event however year will not be mentioned Kristina has been an avid and successful sportswoman all her life but in particular a stand out national swimmer. Her son Joshua recently make the CARIFTA and CISC teams in 2016 and is convinced her son has the talent to be successful in whatever he pursues. Today we introduce Coach Allan. Allan was an All-american Georgia Bulldawg and NCAA finalist while attending University of Georgia. He was also a national record holder for The Bahamas that competed at three Olympic Games in his specialty swimming event. Depending on the time and day of the week and the amount being wagered (joke) Allan will take anyone on for 12.5 yards of freestyle from a push only and claims to still have the Bahamian 50-yard freestyle record...???? Allan ...last served as Carifta Swimming Head Coach in 2016 and his coaching experience includes a 3-year stint as Head Coach of Barracuda Swim Club and as a Commonwealth Games Head Coach. More recently Allan has assisted with the awesome government primary public school learn-to-swim program Let's Swim Bahamas and coached alongside Hall of Fame Swimmer & Olympic Coach Percival Andy Knowles while serving as Assistant and Nassau Head Coach at Swift Swimming.
