Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) UPDATE, 3/11/2020 The Center for Disease Control has issued guidance on Water Transmission and COVID-19. This information addresses the possible spread of the virus in drinking water, feces, POOLS, HOT TUBS, and sewerage systems. The CDC's direct quote on pools and spas is "There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine ...and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19". Hard to see but there are very tiny pin holes in this heater. This heater is only three months old. This erosion happens when water is not balanced and is too acidic. The water runs through the heater all day long and rots it from the inside out. Water Chemistry is critical!!
