In our final swim team video of the summer, our coaches honor the memory of Christopher Crafa and recognize all our 16-year-old swimmers who would have aged out of the program this year.

Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Garden City Recreation Department will not be conducting in person job interviews. If you would like to work at the Garden City Pool next summer, see the below procedures. New Hires If you are interested in working at the pool for the first time, please send your name and home address to [email protected] and we will mail you a job application and information. Please note: You must be 16 years old or older to work at the pool You must be available to work days, nights and/or weekend shifts.

Help us as we will be conducting a food drive starting August 31st thru Labor Day, September 7th. All donations dropped off at the pool lobby will be given to the Marry Brennan The INN.

Please note the last day of the season will be Labor Day (Monday, September 7th). We will have our normal Monday session hours of 12-4p and 5-9p for members. As normal, you can make reservations beginning Saturday.

Coming to the Pool today? Don't forget that we will be conducting a food drive today thru Labor Day. All donations dropped off will be given to the Mary Brennan The INN.

Need a flu shot? Senator Kevin Thomas is partnering with the Garden City Recreation and CVS Pharmacy to offer a drive-through flu shot program in the St. Paul’s... Field House parking lot, located at 293 Stewart Avenue, on Thursday, October 7, 2020. Shots will only be given from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There are no other activities scheduled at this time. The Recreation and Parks Department has hosted this program almost every year since the 1990s first at the Senior Center and, in recent years, in the Field House as part of Recreation’s sponsored Senior Health Fair. It was first run in conjunction with Nassau County and NYU-Winthrop. Once it switched to a full health fair, our New York State Senator now sponsors it. Please wear a mask, loose fitting clothing and bring proper ID and primary insurance/Medicare card. Register online at Thomas.nysenate.gov or call 516-739-1700.
