THIS One of my most frequent questions is why are lessons only 10 minutes. This is exactly why:

Supervision and a skilled little one are the most portable lines of defense against drowning. Please remember to double check the layers of protection between w...ater and your little one around your home and wherever the day takes you. Now is a great time to make sure your little ones have the skills they would need to save themselves should the need arise. To learn more, please visit www.infantswim.com.

Are you looking for a program where your child will learn skills that will last a lifetime? A program founded on research where your child will develop both the confidence and competence of water safety? A program where your child will learn not only how to swim but how to float. The float is a crucial survival skill that should be a priority in swimming lessons. Should your child ever find themselves in a situation where they fell into a body of water and could not swim to t...he edge or get out on their own, being able to float could save their life. There are over 800 documented cases of children who have saved themselves from drowning with ISR lessons. ISR lessons are an invaluable investment into your child’s safety. Children can begin lessons as young as 6 months and up to 6 years. I am a Registered Nurse with most of my career spent in NICU and Pediatrics. I am a Certified ISR instructor and dedicated to the mission #notonemorechilddrowns See more

What will my child learn at ISR? Good question, and it's one we get quite frequently. Generally speaking, if your child is crawling, he’s ready to learn to roll...over onto his back to float, and rest safely until help arrives. Similarly, if your little guy is walking, he's ready to learn the full swim-float-swim sequence! To find out more please visit: http://www.infantswim.com/lessons/isr-lessons.html

It happened this past Friday afternoon. I put Jazzy, Bryson and Bryson’s friend on the back porch with lunch and a movie. I went into my office to finish u...p some emails. Ten minutes later.....all I hear is Bryson screaming Mommy. I ran out and for some reason I thought someone was choking. But all I heard was lake and Jazzy. I started running. Before I go on, let me tell you that Jazzy is 3 years old. She started ISR swimming lessons when she was 6 months old. She’s like an olympic swimmer. She jumps in, goes down the slide, swims to the bottom...she’s a pro. As I’m running I kept thinking. She can swim. I know she can swim. Why are they screaming? As I opened the gate to the long dock...all I could see was a man who was working in the yard next door lifting her out of the lake. From my view.....her back was towards me. She was soaking wet. The man was holding her by her wrists and she looked limp. Just imagine that for a second He’s lifting her up by her wrists, all I see is her back side, she’s soaked and she’s not moving at all. I started screaming as a ran down the dock. I honestly felt like I died inside for 10 seconds. I was screaming Is she breathing? And How long was she under for? Just as he pulled her up onto the dock.....she turns around and says ....Mommy, I fell in the lake! And then my heart started beating again. She was totally fine. I found out later that they went out there to fish. She slipped off the side of the barge. She fell in, but then swam and held onto to the side of the barge. She’s a pro. She’s literally in a lake....fully clothed ....and swimming to get herself out. So mamas I tell you.......ISR lessons are an investment. An investment of time. An investment of money. But it’s so worth it. I can’t even explain the feeling I had for those ten seconds. And even after I felt physically drained from head to toe for the rest of that day. ....and that was only 10 seconds. I’m mad as heck that they went out to the dock without telling me ..... but I’m thankful for ISR. I’m thankful Jazzy is a champion swimmer. See more

What do children learn at ISR? A whole lot! Students as young as 6 months old can learn to roll over onto their backs to float, rest and breathe, and maintain that life-saving position until help arrives. To find an ISR Instructor near you, please visit www.infantswim.com.
