It was a cold day to start work on this nasty pool! And to add insult to injury, this pool has under ground water coming in like crazy! But, on the bright side, I get to work with mom and dad today, which is such a blessing!

Plumbing up our Hayward pump on customer’s well point for next week’s liner installation. Doing life and work with my sweet pea, Emmette, is an absolute blast!

It took almost a solid week of hard work, but we finally finished this green-to-clean pool. This pool was flooded from the bayou during last year’s hurricanes, and so we had to clean this pool with 8 months of everything imaginable in it. Yes, we clean these pools without draining them. Well, we finally got it all cleaned up and running. This pool was in bad shape. It had serious cracks in the fiberglass that had to be repaired. It had to be cleaned, pressure washed, acid washed, and replumbed after replacing the pump. Thank you Team Raul for trusting Premier Choice Pools to get the job done. Well, we pulled out the big guns for Ms. Anna’s pool. We returned today brought our auxiliary pump and filter for next weeks’s clean up. We also sprayed the pool down with Revive, which is absolutely the best drop out on the market!

We returned to yesterday’s pool to find that the bottom had collapsed due to being undermined by water. So, we turned customer’s previous main drain into a French drain to get the bottom dry enough to set the liner. Hopefully we can cut in the liner tomorrow and be done!

Yesterday we returned to cut in Ms. Anna’s pool with the collapsed bottom and also pulled the vacuum. The water is muddy brown because we had to use the well point and French drain water to get enough water in the pool fast enough to prevent the liner from floating. Ms. Anna was NOT happy about her brand new Tara ocean wave liner having muddy water pumped into it, but she trusted us and went with it. Next week we will spend 3-4 days cleaning this pool up, and it will be beautiful! Stay tuned for more.

FINALLY FINISHED!!! Almost a month in, we finally finished the Lucier’s pool. This pool had ongoing issues with the liner floating during heavy rains due to its depth of 8 ft in a marshy area with a very high water table. In addition to creating a new French drain, we elevated the depth of the pool from 8 ft to 6.5 ft. Super thankful for this opportunity. The Lucier family has been so patient and easy to work with. Pictures from today’s estimate for a new liner was a hard one. Not only did the pool have a tile system which we had to take down, but the pool was full of debris and had dark green water. Well, this was our project today’. This 8 ft deep pool has had an auxiliary pump running 24/7 for over a week on its single well point, yet we take the liner out and find this...a floated main drain!!! We will be back tomorrow to remove the main drain, fix the bottom, and set the liner. Thankful this wonderful family trusts us and super appreciative of their patience.
