Attention: Houston and surrounding areas!! I have some awesome news to share! Kendra Scott (you read that right) is teaming up with ISR and the Live Like Jake Foundation to help pay for lessons for children who are unable to afford them!! Isn’t that amazing! As if I couldn’t love Kendra Scott Jewelry enough, now I have an amazing reason to spend more money. On August 3rd between 1-3pm you can walk into any Kendra Scott location around the Houston area, purchase something beautiful and 20% of the proceeds will go to the Live Like Jake foundation to help kids in our area get skilled in life saving ISR lessons! Please share with your friends and family!!

I’ve heard people refer to what a do as a part time gig a easy side job just a swim teacher they are all wrong. This is no part time job as I think about... my students almost 24/7 when I am at work and when I am not st work. I wonder if they are being safe around water, are they following the guidelines I’ve asked them to follow in order to stay safe in the water. I am always on my email talking to parents and giving them the information they need to make the best decision they can for their children. This career is not easy. It is physically demanding. It is constantly thinking ahead about your next move. It is the pressure of knowing that these parents are trusting you with their most valuable possession, Their pride and joy. With their infants who can not communicate with words about how they are feeling. And I most certainly am not just a Swim teacher. Did you know that drowning is the number 1 cause of accidental death is children between the ages of 1-4 years old?! How is that not startling to parents? How do most pediatricians not talk about this to parents? Yes I teach children to swim but I am also on a mission to help save children from becoming a part of thjs statistic. Drowning is 100% preventable not only with survival swim lessons but with constant supervision around water, fencing, alarms, and door locks. When I receive messages like this, I know I am doing something right. I’m fighting for our children. #ISR #swimfloatswim #notonemorechilddrowns #notjustaswimteacher See more

Hypothetically speaking: If you signed your child up for bike riding lessons, and at the end, he could ride a bike, but only with training wheels, would you fee...l satisfied? What if you signed your child up for private batting lessons, and after he was "finished", he could hit the ball every time, but only if it was on a tee. Would you feel satisfied with those lessons? So why are so many of us okay with our child requiring floaties, arm bands, and puddle jumpers after swimming lessons? If you sign your child up for swimming lessons, they should be SWIMMING. Independently. Without an aid. There should be some sort of completion date for those lessons, with an objective goal, a specific skill that you know before beginning. "It depends" is not an acceptable answer... because your child's life may "depend" on it. Visit www.isrnewyork.com to learn how your child can acquire independent aquatic skills in a matter of weeks. Not in NY? Visit www.infantswim.com to find an ISR instructor near you. (Photos: https://www.google.com/search https://images.app.goo.gl/PRQQ5kT74Hu2NfXm7 https://images.app.goo.gl/UnQx3A7Lcep6eG9K9
