Here is Hayward's information sheet regarding the 2021 D.O.E. compliance for pool pump efficiency. So basically it is saying that Hayward's 1HP and lower pumps meet the standard. Pentiar, Hayward and Jandy all have pumps that meet the 1HP and greater standards. Basically after July 19th 2021 any available stock will be sold, but no longer manufactured. I encourage everyone to look into the energy savings that variable speed pumps offer. Also I assume, but not have been able ...to confirm. That ComEd will be offering a rebate again this year. For my above ground pool owners there a few variable speed pumps available for your application, however in the past the rebate from ComEd has only been available to in-ground pool owners. As more information becomes available I will post it. Tom

To my customers and those that are following my page. I have some information regarding the Executive Order to Stay at Home as it pertains to swimming pools. I have reached out to the Winnebago County Health Department for clarification on how this order effects residential pools. Residential pool openings are considered essential. This means that I am allowed to open pools. Any repairs or replacement of equipment is considered essential as long as it pertains to the sani...tation or safety of the pool and or the community. This means that a broken pump, filter or chlorinator can be fixed or replaced. Hopefully this all will end soon. Please stay safe and healthy. If you have any questions please reach out to me. Tom

With the rains and this accident I am running way behind. I do have a few guys who are willing to take some work to help me keep my commitments. Please be patient I am working hard to get back on the road.

Alright, guys here is the latest. This is going to somewhat of a long post, so please bear with me. Today I spoke with two of the three sale reps for Pentair, Hayward, and Jandy. We spoke about what is currently going on with regards to supply and demand, and what is to be expected for the upcoming summer season. IT IS NOT GOOD NEWS. Supply is down, demand is up along with manufacturing. Raw materials are hard to get, and prices are going up. They both said that their co...mpanies are not able to keep up with demand. Then add the estimated 40,000 pools in Texas alone with freeze damage. Both reps said that once distribution run out of stock there will be likely a 46-week delay. One rep mentioned that once the Northern states wake up and start opening pools and making repairs that he would not surprise if stock ran out by Memorial Day. For one manufacturer...now this is a rumor, but this information came from both reps. That manufacture has a 10-week delay on pool filter orders, and that there was also a possibility that some of their products might not be available until late summer. This is not just the big ticket items. This even goes down to the skimmer faceplates and gaskets for another manufacturer. So here is what I am saying. We need to open our pools early. That way if there are any issues, I can get on top of it as early as we can. This swimming season is going to be a very trying season for you and me. I ask that everyone please be patient, and understand that I have no control over any of this. If there is an issue. I will do my absolute best to get your pool up and running as fast as I can. Tom

I hope everyone's 2021 is off to a good start. I want to apologize for the fact that I was not able to post a lot from this past season. 2020 was an unprecedented year that affected the supply chains in the pool and swimming industry. I am already hearing and seeing issues for the 2021 season. One major liner manufacture is out or has little stock of their popular patterns. I am looking at other liner manufacturers for availability and quicker turnaround times Chorine ta...b shortage-increased demand and a large fire at a tab manufacturing plant have sent prices through the roof and shortages are expected. DO NOT PURCHASE CHLORINE TABS FROM CHINA. If you run out and or can not get any tabs call me and we will switch you to liquid chlorine. This happens to be the best form of sanitizer anyway. Pool Equipment-shortages and delays. Also 2021 Department of Energy mandate for pool pump efficiency in July. Many manufacturers have already switched over and are no longer making single speed pumps that are greater than 1hp. ComEd has not committed to extending the $275 rebate for the replacement or upgrade to a variable speed pump at the time of this writing. Pool chemicals-increase in demand has increased in price. I am trying to not raise prices for the upcoming 2021 pool season. According to my distribution center, there are a few manufacturers price increases to come by mid-March. After those come in I will have a better idea of my pricing for 2021. We all know that prices have gone up in the last year, and I did my best to not pass those on to my customers. I will do my best to keep any price increases to a minimum. Thanks, Tom

I hope all of you have had a wonderful holiday season, and a great start to your 2020. Pool season is slowly creaping up with spring only a few months away. This season I am looking into providing a weekly or biweekly pool cleaning service for in-ground and above ground pools. As of now I do not have any prices yet. I am waiting to hear the feedback before I get to detailed with the cost and services. As a side note. There will be some changes come 2021. These changes will r...eflect the Department of Energy regulations for single speed pump phase out. I will be attending classes to learn more about the new regulations, and how it will effect my customers. During these classes I hope to have rebate information for the ComEd rebate program. This program pertains to the replacement or upgrade of your in-ground pool pump to a variable speed pump. I have a feeling that come 2021 ComEd and the manufactures will not longer offer rebates. And if they do offer the rebates I forsee them being greatly reduced. I will post all information as soon as I get it. I am looking forward to a 2020 pool season.

This is the customer from my last job. They purchased a new LED pool light, and I think this pool looks good at night.

Someone posted this on Facebook, and with the upcoming holiday season please keep this in mind. Also remember that your local small service company does not have the ability to purchase or match prices like those big companies offer.

To my customers and friends of this page. I hope you are all doing well and practicing socal distancing. After some thinking. I have decided to not offer weekly/biweekly service at this time. My uncertainty with the economy, and the fact that I am being careful with business capital has pushed this venture off at this time. However, I am thinking of a short list of chemical for home delivery to keep my customers healthy and out of the stores. Please call if you are interes...ted. I am still doing pool openings. I feel that the pool service business is essential for this one simple fact. Any pool that is not opened and running will pose a health risk to the community it is in. Now, I have not been able to get clarification as to what is considered essential and non-essential. As an example adding a slide to a pool is not considered essential in my opinion. I do have a running list for pool openings. As you call you will be placed on the list. I will then open your pool as I get to your spot in the list. The weather and this virus will play a roll with scheduling. When you call for your opening. It will be at that time that we will discuss payment options. I am trying to maintain the social distancing with all customers, and if possible have a zero contact interactions. I am looking forward to a making the best of the 2020 season.

Another one in the ground. This a vinyl over step pool. We also added a new main drain to a pool that didn't have one.

08.12.2021

I have been looking for a different type of storage solution for my job trailer. I could not find what I wanted, so I had one made. I need to make few tweaks for my next one. Thinking of maybe selling them in the future. Hopefully more to come soon. By the way. These are Made In The USA!!

Hi guys, 2021 pool season update. The recent freezing temps in Texas and the South has compounded the supply issues from Covid19. Pool professionals in Texas are experiencing a 5-6 week delay on pumps and no PVC fitting for repairs. I would suggest opening your pool as early as you can. The reason being if there are any issues with the equipment we can address them early and get in line for parts. Have a great sunny weekend. Tom
