I have chatted with the majority of parents this week to explain, if or when schools close, we will close. It would be negligent if we didn’t so I hope you can appreciate our stance on this. If or when lessons are required to stop, we will then extend the term once everything is back to normal to complete the remaining weeks of the term, or if you prefer to be refunded that is also fine It is a time of unknown and therefore we can’t predict what is coming and hope you can be patient and understanding of the situation. The health and wellbeing of anyone who takes part in any aquatic activity is of paramount importance to everyone at H2o Swimming Academy. We are currently following the latest guidance from the Government and Public Health Services. At this time, H2o is continuing to plan for events as normal. However, the national governing body will be following the latest information and assessing risk as appropriate. Due to the ongoing spread of novel coronavirus, there have been a number of calls about whether it is safe to still go swimming. The Pool Water Treatment and Advisory Group (PWTAG) has been in contact with Public Health regarding novel coronavirus. A spokesperson for PWTAG said: Public health opinion is that it is safe to go swimming at this time. Water and the chlorine within swimming pools will help to kill the virus. However, visitors to swimming pools are reminded to shower before using the pool, to shower on leaving the pool and to follow the necessary hygiene precautions when visiting public places to help reduce the risk of infection. The campaign to #OpenOurPools is working! Whilst we eagerly await exact details, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed a timetable for the reopening of swimming pools will be announced this week. Dear parents, We hope you are all well during these difficult times! We have had many enquiries into reopening and we are very keen to get back to normal as soon as possible!... Due to yesterday’s announcements about restrictions again around Manchester, Yorkshire and east Lancashire we have decided to postpone the reopening until September. As long as there is no further spikes in the area we will be reopening from week commencing Monday 7th September! Dear customers, I hope you are all staying safe during these difficult times. In relation to recent announcements, we must adhere to government recommendations and postpone lessons from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December. Therefore lessons will run tomorrow 4th November as normal and then close after lessons on Wednesday evening. We will restart lessons on Thursday 3rd December. Wednesday lessons will have 1 lesson left of the term when we restart and Thursday... and Saturday will have 2 lessons after the closure to conclude this current term.
