Due to several City of Brighton employees testing positive for COVID-19, and out of precaution to keep our employees and visitors safe, City Manager Jane Bais ...DiSessa has temporarily closed all city facilities effective Monday, Oct. 26. The City will reassess as the week progresses and determine when facilities are safe to reopen. The following buildings will be closed to the public: -Brighton City Hall, 500 S. 4th Ave. -Historic City Hall, 22 S. 4th Ave. -Brighton Recreation Center, 555 N. 11th Ave. -Eagle View Adult Center, 1150 Prairie Center Parkway -Armory Performing Arts Center, 300 Strong St. The Brighton Police Department will remain open. The city is currently undergoing necessary remedial efforts to all city facilities. Reopening updates will be posted on the city’s website at www.brightonco.gov and social media sites. Residents may continue to contact the city by phone or email for questions or service needs, or visit www.brightonco.gov for online services.

COMING SOON: The Rec Center pool will reopen on Monday, Sept. 28! After more than two weeks under construction, the new pool deck has several new features - it’...s anti-slip, anti-microbial and absorbs impact. Reminder - You must call ahead/pay ahead for pool reservations at 303-655-2200 (no more than 48 hours in advance). You can begin to reserve your spot tomorrow!

Heads up! Starting on Sept. 10, the Brighton Recreation Center pool area will be under construction for a new pool deck and unavailable for public use. The pool will reopen on Sept. 28. More details: https://www.brightonco.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1488

Due to financial constraints related to opening the Brighton Oasis Family Aquatic Park for a shorter season and with limited capacity, City Council voted to not open the water park for the summer of 2020. We will miss seeing you all this season!

Effective today, all playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, and picnic areas in the City of Brighton will be closed. Residents may still enjoy walking ...paths, trails, and open spaces in the city, as long as they practice social distancing of at least six feet from others and group sizes are limited to no more than ten people at a time. For more information about our trails and open spaces, visit www.brightonco.gov/328/Parks-Department. **3/28/20 Update: the Happy Tails Dog Park is also now closed** Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time.
