In Turks and Caicos, we are under a 3 week shelter in place quarantine. We have amazing leaders who have made difficult yet imperative choices to protect a small island with a delicate health system. We have all done our part by staying home, but we miss our team, our 18m training pool, and our routine! We started the #PAClockdownchallenge to get our team together for a few minutes everyday. Swim programs started up again mid-October and we’ve had a busy couple of weeks building skills with our swim school students! Stars are earned as essential skills are mastered- proper breathing, body position, survival floating, and kicking, to names a few! We haven’t posted in a while but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been doing awesome stuff ! This weekend we took 10 swimmers to the Karl Dalhouse Invitational in Kingston, Jamaica this meet drew teams from Cayman Islands, USA, Bolivia and all over Jamaica. Competition was stiff but we showed up and put in some great swims. We had a lot of BIG personal bests, along with over 25 top 10 finishes and 3 medalists. Just over 8 weeks to go until #Carifta2020 and you can be sure you’ll see big things from PAC!!
