Welcome to Splash Around Swim Lessons! My name is Adrianna & I am so excited to be your water instructor! As a teacher, I focus on being nurturing and patient, while providing a strong hand of guidance when necessary. All children are not the same, therefore all children are not taught effectively in the same manner. I will work with you to asses your child's needs and comfort level and curate my specific lesson plan for him/her. This makes for a much more fun and engaging e...xperience for the child. For example, with my beginner students, I work to ease their fears and encourage them to try new tasks and having fun while learning. For my more experienced swimmers, I push them to improve their swimming abilities so that they can reach their goals and feel the joy of accomplishment as they advance in the program. It is important to ensure that students perform well and gain confidence with each task before moving on to the next level so that they do not become overwhelmed. This is a fun experience for all of us, as we work on skills we will constantly reinforce self confidence and self reliability. I believe in teaching technique over speed and endurance- making sure that my students know survival skills, which I believe are crucial, before perfecting strokes. Living around so many water sources, it is critical to understand and respect all aspects of safety when in and around water. This experience will leave your child and your family with a new sense of confidence and assurance, both in and around water.
