Reluctantly the Wabasha City Council tonight, May 18th, voted unanimously to close the pool for the summer of 2020. The guidelines from the state of MN and the... CDC as well as training concerns create major issues with the safe opening and operation of the City pool. A more formal notice citing the numerous issues will be shared tomorrow.

We wanted to provide an update on the outlook for the summer. We currently are waiting to hear what the state will recommend on whether or not the pool will be opening this summer. We should have an answer on May 4th.

Update- a special meeting is being held on Monday, May 18th to determine if the pool will be opening for the summer.

Cool off at the Splash Pad 10am-9pm daily, just a few rules and reminders to consider when cooling off on these hot summer days!

Well, the day has finally came! Wabasha Municipal Splashpad is now open. It is free to the public, and will be open for use 7 days a week 1PM to 8PM. The water is NOT heated so with the slightly cooler weather it might be a bit chilly but please bring the kids to enjoy! The splashpad is started by pushing the activation button on the top of the red fire hydrant. The splashpad will run for 4 mins at a time, and will change features throughout the 4 mins. 90% of the funds for the splashpad were raised through donations. Thanks to everyone who came to the ECFE event and Splash Pad kick-off event. a big thanks to those who brought in a vehicle to have on display. I think it is safe to say everyone had a great time! Next summer is going to amazing!!!!!
