HURRICANE SALLY & EXCESSIVE WATER LEVELS We understand that hurricane Sally is bringing a large amount of rain that is increasing the water level in your pool and that may be causing concern. We will be working through the storm maintaining chemicals and adjusting water levels on your scheduled service day. Due to the weather forecast of possibly 30" of rain we wanted to include the steps to lowering the water level if you would prefer to adjust it before your scheduled day.... Below you will find instructions on how to lower your water level for sand filters or cartridge filters. How to remove water from your pool using your sand filter’s MPV: 1. If you have a waste hose pull it out so it can flow water freely. 2. Shut your pump off. 3. Rotate (clockwise only) the Multi-Port Valve located on top of your filter to waste. 4. Turn pump on. 5. Let pool water waste into your yard through the waste line until you have reached the desired water level. 6. Turn pump off. 7. Turn MPV back to the filter position. 8. Turn pump on. Complete. How to remove water from your pool using your cartridge filter: 1. Your cartridge filter has a waste line. A blue hose or open PVC pipe will be your waste line. 2. Open the valve between your cartridge filter and waste line allowing water to waste out of the waste line. 3. Once you have drained the pool to the desired level close the waste line valve. Make sure you put the valve back the way it originally was. Please let us know if you have any questions.
