The 11th Amended Declaration of a State of Emergency is attached. The mandatory evacuation is now lifted, HOWEVER, due to accessibility issues, short-term renta...ls are discontinued until further notice in the following areas: Beach Drive from SE 58th Street to the west end of the island Pelican, Dolphin and Kings Lynn Drive west of SE 40th Street (including side streets connecting to them) The areas listed above are still limited access. Residents may resume occupancy in those areas. Contractors and property managers must have an access permit issued by Development Services to work on properties. The curfew is still in place in this areas from 8 pm to 6 am daily. The beach is still closed west of SE 40th Street. See more

As we near the holiday season, we want to take this time to update you on our schedule for the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. All pools will be serviced Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Our office will be closed Thursday through Sunday for both holiday weeks. We hope this information helps everyone to plan accordingly.

Thank you for your continued patience as we slowly start the clean up process. Here is a quick snapshot of what we have been dealing with since the storms passing. Our team is working to get all island pools up and running as fast as possible.

To say this hurricane clean up has been a slow and stressful process would be an understatement. A huge heartfelt thank you to Kim and Byron for the gift basket. Your patience and thoughtfulness came at the perfect time today. We truly appreciate it.

Here is the latest update from the town.

This morning, power has been restored to 98% of our members. The remaining outages are in one of the hardest hit areas, Oak Island. Working with town officials, our main focus and objective is to make all necessary repairs to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

Our team is going strong and working hard to get all pools cleaned by Saturday. Even though the storm was destructive, our community is strong. There is no rainbow without a storm.

Just a PSA, please DO NOT DRAIN YOUR POOLS TO CLEAN! The water table is very high, and you run the risk of your pool popping out of the ground. We will take care of all black pools. Thank you.

Good morning Blue Water followers! We hope you are having a great day. Here is our Wednesday update: The restricted area of Oak Island that was the hardest hit, is starting to get power in some areas. Our team is out working hard to get to all of these pools serviced. Please understand that these pools are the worst, and this will take some time. We truly appreciate your patience during this process. We know everyone wants to swim, and we want to see safe, clear and blue pools as much as you.

Friday update: We continue to move down the lists, and the island, to complete cleaning and/or assessing pools and hot tubs. At this time I can say that all island pools and hot tubs that have power, and no major damage will be completed and swim ready by Saturday end of day. Our next objective is to tackle the homes that had lost power. We appreciate your continued patience as we go through this next step. Many of these pools and homes were hit extremely hard and have ex...tensive damage.
