Was great to catch up with the reps from De Smient and Amanzi Swim Centre at the SAI leadership conference. Also was nice to see and say hi to some of the crew from Starfish Aquatics Institute and StarGuard ELITE. Great to meet some new people as well. Overall, it was a humbling experience. From the vantage point of New Zealand, listening to what everyone in the aquatics world is going through internationally puts a lot into perspective. Sure, NZ has had its challenges with COVID, but the resilience I heard in some of the stories shared was inspiring. It was great to see everyone coming together and supporting each other.

Recognising World Restart a Heart Day. 60 years ago today, the original paper that described CPR was published. The way we do CPR has changed a bit since then, but what remains the importance of learning CPR and First Aid. If you spent time in, on or around the water (which is almost everyone in New Zealand), you should make sure you are trained in CPR/First Aid. Make sure you are ready to help your family, friends, coworkers and community if needed. ... If you are not trained, get trained. Shout out New Zealand Resuscitation Council for promoting this event in NZ! https://youtu.be/FrjzKIGFfi4 #Worldrestartaheart
