Hello Swimsprout families! Thank you for your patience over the last few weeks. Everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and good vibes were greatly appreciated. Swim season is scheduled to start April 1, 2019. A registration link will be made available for all refresher lessons ASAP, and I will be following up with all families from last year first. ... Question: Do y'all still swim if it's raining? Answer: YES! We still swim in the rain (but not thunder or lightning). According to FEMA and American Red Cross, lightning can strike as far as 10 miles away from any rainfall. During lessons, if lighting strikes within a 10 mile radius of our pool, lessons are put on hold for 30 minutes. If at any time during the hold period lightning strikes again within 10 miles of the pool, the 30 minutes wait period restarts....
