Don’t waste your time calling warranty companies if your pool is frozen they will deny it. This is an insurance claim. Let’s hope for the best. It’s beautiful outside and we needed it to freeze. But my prayers are with the family’s without power and water.

The damage from our winter weather appears to be inevitable with rolling black outs. I believe it was 1987 or close when underground plumbing froze. Several ite...ms of caution to homeowners and professionals. Do not operate your heater given the dropping temps. When things begin to thaw be aware it takes a long time for things to thaw. Premature operation of the pool pump could end your life ask any of the major manufacturers. Do not drain your pool below the waterline that will result in underground damage in the thousands. Remind all of us no one is to blame. Last resort turn off the power drain everything that can be drained, pumps, filters, heaters, and water features. When you do so depending on the exposure location in the yard give it plenty of time to thaw. I suspect most pools will experience some level of damage. Be safe, and stay away from your pools edge. Can not express how important it is for everyone’s pools to be running. The extra 5$ you’ll spend on your electric bill will be a lot cheaper than a broken pipe. If your pool is not equipped with a freeze protect than run your pool manual 24/7 till we get out of this weather.
