A simple bucket test is the quickest way to find out if your pool is leaking water. Fill a bucket halfway with water set on pool step, mark the waterline on the inside of the bucket and the waterline of the pool water on the outside of the bucket. If you DO NOT have a leak both inside the bucket and outside the bucket will be the same loss under your marks. If the outside has dropped farther than the inside, you have a leak.
