McMechen City Pool, AKA "The Puddle"

The Puddle is looking for lifeguards and concession stand workers for the summer. Please stop by the city building to obtain an application or you can go on the... With the extension of President Trump's 15 days to stop the spread plan and Governor Justice's stay at home order, we are again urging everyone to keep a safe distance (at least 6 feet apart) and do not gather in groups. If everyone uses common sense, we can beat this!

ADULT AQUA TIME Starting in July The Puddle will open every Wednesday at 10am.... Adults are welcome to open swim OR Join in on our aquacise class. This is open to anyone over the age of 25. No one under the age of 25 will be permitted into the pool area until 11am.

We are still taking applications for Pool Manager and lifeguards. If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard, we have information on the classes. According to Governor Justice’s order, all parks, playgrounds, basketball courts, shelters and public restrooms are currently closed and will remain that way until further notice.

Due to the strict CDC restrictions and guidelines for safely reopening pools, McMechen City Council has made the decision to keep the pool closed for the 2020 s...eason. The Mayor and Council will use this time to ensure that necessary repairs and improvements are made. The city would like to thank everyone for their patience and support. We understand that this isn't the news everyone was hoping for but we feel that the safety of our citizens should come first. We are looking forward to a grand reopening in 2021.
