We are absolutely devastated by the events that unfolded in Christchurch on Friday. Like many, our team are heartbroken. We have a couple more exciting things going on over the next few weeks before everybody goes back to school!! - This Friday, the 22nd of January, we have our first Wave Rave for 2016. it starts at 6:30pm and goes to 8:30pm. It's for children 8-14years. There will be fun games and competitions, plus prizes and music. If you know somebody that is interested, make sure you let them know. - Also, we will be having our big, themed Wave Rave next Friday, the 29th of Janua...ry. Keep your eyes open for more details on what will be happening!! - Finally, looking for something to do in the last week of the holidays? Next week we are running a Holiday Fun Week!! It will be running at 10:30am-12:30pm, Monday 25th to Thursday 28th at no extra cost. We will be running fun games and sports, small competitions and there will be prizes!! But wait, there's more... If you participate in any of our games or competitions, you will get a free pass for the Aquarun which is up at 1pm all week. Hold on, there is one more thing... If you participate in our activities all week, (that's Monday to Thursday), you will get a free pass to our themed Wave Rave next Friday!!! We are already in the middle of our first week, but there we still have spaces availible for week 2 so if you are interested please let us know!!! - SwimFit has started again for the year!! If you have set yourself a new goal to improve your fitness this year, join us on Tuesday and Thursday mornings!!! - Finally we have the Aquarun in the pool from 1 - 3pm everyday these holidays. An Aquarun is a large pool inflatable sort of like a bouncy castle. Hopefully we see you at the Waitomo District Aquatic Centre during these hot summer days!!

We have some great news, the heating system has been repaired!! We expect the pool to be back to normal temperature by Thursday!! The Waitomo Distric Aquatic Centre had the honours of hosting the Swimathon on Friday morning from 6am till 6pm. Many participants at many different levels come together to support Pink Ribbon In total, all participants swam a total of 1667 lengths, equivalent of 50kms There is a givealittle page below if you would like to support the cause....
