Just like everything in life you don't know until you know. I made this video for people who are either new to the business or homeowners new to Florida attempting to take care of their own pool. What happens is even though we're still technically in winter, one above average warm day is all it takes for clouds of pollen to get into your pool and create that yellow ring. It's non-toxic and has nothing to do with chemical balance. Also after you brush it away there will be clumps you'll spend an hour trying to get every last one out and you still won't so don't kill yourself. First good couple rains and it will be gone. Hello from clean Happy pools. Don't forget to check your water levels .Just because it's winter And the evaporation rate is much lower It still does evaporate . Especially if you have a heater . Running the motor dry with a low water level and having air in there will disrupt the entire system and or burn your motor out and you're looking at anywhere from $400 to a Thousand dollar repair . As a homeowner There are several steps you can take . The free way Is to Simply Monitor... it daily Maybe throw the hose in for 15 minutes a day every week Depending on your evaporation rate . You can buy a hose timer from Lowe's or Home Depot or Amazon for like 15 or $20 Very simple mechanism They rarely fail And I Definitely think it's both a good idea And the cheapest way out . The other option is you can get an auto-fill they cost about $100 But keep in mind if you have a leak That is not how you Properly fix a leak Although it will keep the water level Correct . The last option some like and some don't is you can ask your pool service professional To fill the water if it gets Really low But if they have to be there for an extended period Of time and or comeback. Depending on distance and time There will be a charge . All things in life require maintenance and attention And taking precautionary Measures Are always better than corrective ,Have a good day everybody . See more
