Happy New Year from Alanna’s Aquatics!! The most exciting event that happened for me this year was becoming a business owner and continuing to save lives and teach the importance of water safety around my community! I’ve met so many new swimmers and traveled to many pools this summer! I am so excited to meet new faces in the new year and even more determined to get your children swim ready!!

Hey there! I’m Alanna and I’m the owner of Alanna’s Aquatics! I have been teaching swim lessons for over 8 years. Here’s a some more information about myself as a previous competitive and collegiate swimmer. My swimming career started at the age of 4, I grew up in New Jersey and swam competitively for USS swimming. By the age of 10, I qualified for the Junior Olympics. I continued my swimming career throughout my high-school years and accepted a scholarship for swimming wit...h Mars Hill College in North Carolina. Unfortunately, my competitive swimming career had to come to a halt due to many shoulder injuries. I have always had a passion for working with children as I took on numerous roles in child-care, but my most favorite position was when I decided to become a Water Safety Instructor (WSI). This was the perfect opportunity for myself to combine my two passions of working with children AND swimming! I have been in the Aquatics career field for several years which include being an Aquatics Director at Aqua-Tots Swim School, an Aquatics Coordinator at a fitness center, a Head Swim Team Coach at a local YMCA, and of course being a Master Water Safety Instructor. My swim lessons focus on water safety, knowing the importance of pool boundaries, life-saving skills, and independent swim skills. Hey there! My name is Alanna Bernstein and I have been teaching swim lessons for over 7 years now. Here’s a little more information about myself as a previous competitive and collegiate swimmer. At the end of the lesson- you and your child will get proper feedback from myself and even a follow up email of their report card which highlights what was focused on during that lesson, what skills were achieved, and what skills need some more tuning.
